October: A Big Month of Treks with GirlsTrek.

October has been a spectacular month for GirlsTrek! We’ve had the pleasure of hosting incredible women on a walking holiday from across Australia, each seeking an adventure tailored to inspire, connect, and indulge. Here’s a recap of the month’s standout journeys:

Western Australia – A Milestone Celebration in Margaret River

Our Western Australia trek was all about celebration! A group of friends, many of whom were marking their 50th birthdays, came together to embrace adventure in Margaret River. From scenic hikes to canoeing with a traditional bushtucker experience and cycling excursions, the group enjoyed the full spectrum of Western Australia’s natural beauty. A day exploring the famed Margaret River wineries added a gourmet touch to this milestone celebration. Suzanne, our expert guide, ensured every detail was taken care of, creating an unforgettable experience.

Noosa Adventure – Annual Retreat for Cairns Friends

Our second adventure with an inspiring group of women from Cairns was nothing short of remarkable. Organised by a passionate GirlsTrek supporter, the Noosa trip blended nature, organic living, and indulgence. Highlights included a visit to LilyPily Farm for a lip balm-making workshop and organic lunch, along with kayaking through the pristine Everglades and a memorable meal at Ricky’s. This annual tradition has become a wonderful way for this group to reconnect and recharge. Lisa, our guide, crafted the perfect itinerary for this returning crew.

Mornington Peninsula – Luxe and Leisure

The Mornington Peninsula trek provided a perfect balance of indulgence and exploration for women ranging from their early 40s to 60s. The group, which included both first-timers and returning trekkers, embraced coastal and forest walks, explored historical sites, and dined on gourmet fare, all while staying in beautiful accommodations. With ample downtime, our guests could unwind and soak in the relaxed atmosphere of this enchanting region. Thanks to Ruth’s attentive guidance, each guest enjoyed a tailored luxury adventure

South Australia – Culinary and Coastal Escapade

Our final adventure took a diverse group of women, aged 52 to 73, on a journey through South Australia. From Hahndorf to Port Willunga, the group experienced the state’s finest small-producer culinary offerings, kayaking, hiking, and biking. The trip was a farewell to this cherished route, which will soon be transformed into two new trips through Adelaide Hills and the Coorong Coast. Our South Australia trek truly highlighted the beauty of Australian diversity and community connection.
