Walk an ancient song line
The Jatbula Trail is a trip of a lifetime, giving you the opportunity to walk through Nitmiluk National Park from the famous Nitmiluk Gorge to Leliyn (Edith Falls). The trail is an ancient Song Line used by the Jawoyn people. Overlooking the Seventeen Mile Valley and beyond, the trail features magnificent waterfalls tumbling from the high sandstone escarpment, these then feed into creeks surrounded by shady monsoon forests and the rock outcrops of the escarpment provide great opportunities to view stunning ancient rock art. This is a wilderness experience and will be required to carry a large pack with your sleeping gear, clothing and a share of food for the 5 days trekking.

Day 1:
Arrive Darwin, dinner and deluxe hotel accommodation. Travel bag may be left here for return.
Day 2:
Meet local guide and travel to Nitmiluk National Park, Katherine Gorge cruise, spend time with local artists, dinner and camp overnight
Day 3:
Trek: 10 kms , early departure, boat ride across Seventeen Mile Creek, commence 5 day trek, camp at Biddlecombe Cascades.
Day 4:
Trek: 12 kms early departure, trek to Edith Falls, wander around Rock Art paintings,contine onto camp at Crystal Falls.
Day 5:
Trek: 10 kms Sunrise at Crystal Falls Lookout, continue to the Amphitheatre, then on to camp at top of 17 Mile Falls.
Day 6:
Trek: 16 kms early start to Edith River Crossing we arrive the on to Sandy Billabong. Afternoon of swimming and bird watching.
Day 7:
Trek: 15 kms multiple creek crossing and a bog to arrive at Sweetwater Pool. Trek through to the end of the trail for a pickup at 3:00pm back to Darwin 7:30PM, shower and late dinner in Darwin
Day 8:
Morning to explore Darwin and preparation for your onward journey or journey home.
