Larapinta – Let’s go!

Are you a visual person?  Take a look at a few of the photographs captured by trekkers on the Larapinta trail.  You will be almost weeping at the breathtaking beauty – and I haven’t actually been there yet!!  It looks otherworldly.

“It’s part moonscape, part movie-set,” says former GirlsTrekker, Lindsay Kasprowicz.  The trek through Australian landscape – made famous in the paintings of Albert Namatjira -includes creature comforts at the end of the day, delicious dinners with new friends under the desert stars and sunrise walks.

The Larapinta Trail runs west from Alice Springs (Telegraph Station) to Mount Sonder (Rwetyepme), along the spine of the West MacDonnell Ranges.  It is rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the finest walking tracks in the world.

We all need a re-boot and time out from our responsibilities and routines to re-energise, re-new and to be reminded of who we are. Larapinta is on my bucket list and it should be on yours too.  We deserve it!
